About Col Zipper

Taste, dependability, intelligence, sophistication and versatility; these are qualities all bands look for in a drummer. Well, we in The Zippers count ourselves very fortunate, we can say without fear of contradiction that Col does at least turn up. In fact he's been turning up and hitting things now for over 30 years and we believe that means something.

Col has played countless venues of all shapes and sizes and has toured the world as drum-tech, road manager and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall look-a-like.
